Monologue- Pregnant Man

Hi! My name is David. I am 22 years old--and I am pregnant. I am the world's first pregnant man. You can assume that it came as a great shock when I found out. It all began about 3 months ago. I woke up feeling nauseous, I thought it was just food poisoning, but then it began happening every morning. Then, I slowly started noticing that I had began gaining weight. In less than a month I had gained 10 pounds! Nothing seemed to have changed--I was eating the same foods I always ate and I was going to the gym regularly, as I always had. So I began exercising more, and I went on a diet to see if that would help--it didn't. I only gained more weight! I made a doctor's appointment. After running a series of tests, he came back into the room. And then, he broke my heart. "You're pregnant," he said with a huge smile. I wasn't amused, but he kept talking. "Congratulations!" he said, and began clapping his hands excitedly. I was speechless.
